Late Start Day!

Today we will

  • Do another Kahoot about cell parts and their function
  • Set up another yeast experiment (click here for directions)
  • Maybe have time to read the "background information" about yeast in preparation to set up a white board for an argumentation session about yeast.

Then, an argumentation session about viruses.  Use the information below (including the link to the PDF) to make a claim about the question "Should a virus be classified as a living thing?"
You will create a whiteboard with the essential question, the claim, evidence and justification.

Online course access

How to access the online resources 
  1. Go to cengage.com (Links to an external site.)
  2. Click on sign in and  "new student user"

3. Once there, add the "course or code key" ELPPPDNMPPQZMJ" & click continue

4. It will come up as Peoria Unified school district and that is ok, just click continue
5. Create your own account.  Use your same school gmail account and I would use your school password, since the requirements are 1 number and 1 capitol letter.
6. Once it is created, click on "course mate"cengage coursemate.JPG
7. In coursemate, add the Course Key

8. Take some time to go through the site and see what is there.  Specifically go to Chapter 1 and Chapter 4, and highlight and take notes on part of the text.
